A HELPFUL, FRIENDLY HAND

Home From Hospital aims to help prevent admission / readmission to hospital / emergency services by providing conversation and a helping, friendly hand to those adults 50+ returning home from hospital, who could benefit from:

Visit or accompany home from hospital
Assistance with basic food shopping
Assistance with making sure they are warm and well (heating & lighting)
Provision of info & links to Neighbourhood Connectors Service & IAT

HFH is based out of Whittington and North Middlesex Hospitals, and serves the residents of Haringey. HFH is a 7 day pilot service running until the end of March 2014.

Blooming Beds and Bees was Living Under One Sun’s heart-warming response to tensions in Tottenham after the riots in 2011. Residents, young and old and from all walks of life, learnt together and collaborated to create 12 green growing places - bringing nature closer to communities and communities closer together!
After the project ended in 2013, 43 jobs were created as LUOS went on to successfully develop & deliver community outreach programmes, and The Conservation Trust naming Living Under One Sun as Community Group of the Year for 2011/12!

We are friendly, welcoming and have a ‘can do’ approach.

Bringing people and their ideas together; supporting each other to improve our individual lives, shape services and our neighbourhoods.
